Yixuan Wang (Ph.D.) is Associate Professor of Sociology at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. She also works as Research Fellow at the Institute for Empirical Social Science Research (IESSR) of Xi’an Jiaotong University. Shegraduated with her bachelor degrees in both Public Administration and English Literature in 2006 from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, her MSc in Social Research in 2007 from the University of Edinburgh, UK, and PhD in Sociology in 2012 from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Over the past years, she published nearly 20 academic articles, got some teaching awards and conducted teaching reform projects. Her interest areas are women studies, ethnicity and immigration and qualitative methods.
